VH-ARB is now a Seawind 3000 homebuilt.

There is only one Colonial C-2 Skimmer on the Australian Register, VH-VRB

Here you go Dick - it was VH-ARB! VH-ARB(3)

Ceratinly looks like a forerunner to the Lake LA4 Amphibian.

This forerunner of the Lake LA-4 Buccaneer was first registered in October of 1959. It was probably one of the last to have the 'Colonial' appellation, since Lake Aircraft took over prod-uction in that same year. The above shot, from the Geoff Goodall collection was taken at Bankstown in September 1965, whilst the color shot below, by Greg Banfield was at the same locale a year later in August 1966. The Skimmer was owned by Victa Ltd of Sydney who had their Airtourer range in full production at that time. It is still current and registered to a private owner in Sydney.
Photo date March 2007, Bankstown:

In the early 1960s there was a gyrocopter (and a Sea Fury??) in the Victa hangar at Bankstown. From memory I think the gyrocopter was built by Victa, as a pre production prototype?
