I paid £40 in 1964. My first car! No problems, apart from a slipping generator belt on the way to a party near Heathrow, leading to electrics failure about 500 yrs from our destination ... which required my date to sleep with me that night. Oh, and I got it slightly bogged down in a field near Feltwell after [hopefully] amusing a Junior Green Sqn lady cadet. I think I was the only single cadet with a car at the time.
