A couple of the guys I worked with were at Aden, one related a tale re two water towers on steel frames being built on the airfield, they both got half way up when one started to get dismantled while the other continued up... Turned out they were both supposed to be at different stations and someone had screwed up.
The other one was on guard, told if a thing happened let off a round and the world would come running, during the evening he dropped his rifle accidentally off the tower and it fired... No one came running and in the morning they didn't believe he had an accidental discharge.
