Very smart Jock, surely the curfew ran from 1800 - 0600. In 64-66 ISTR it was 2200 - 0600. As a result of it my copilot was killed. He took his girlfriend, a teacher who lived on the Maalla Straight, to a dance in the officers mess at Khormaksar and left it a bit late to beat the curfew. Travelling too fast his Alpha Romeo Spider failed to make a sharp bend just beyond the cinema between Khormaksar and Maalla, landing upside down on the beach and decapitating both occupants. A very sad episode during a bloody awful tour.
