Justiciar, thanks for the information. The reason I had thought about North Denes over Norwich is that following the coast is always easy! Of course, if there's a large road that goes all the way from Norwich, that's not much harder... But anyway, if Beccles is hard to spot (you are correct in assuming I don't know it) then that's another good reason, apart from my lack of instrument currency, not to go in poor weather.
I'm still curious as to why I can't find it in the AIP. It has an ATZ, and (according to my chart) it has an instrument approach. All very strange.
