Failling Ishihara does not mean you can not be a pilot anywhere.
I does, however, means that your colour vision is not perfect. So you need to pass an alternate test. Alternate tests are all listed in each country's regulations like FARs, JARs and so on... On your specific case, it will be RBAC 61. For the GCAA like our friend here has just said, the alternate test is the CAD test that you can take both in the Emirates Clinic during the screening process or in the London City University.
For Qatar Civil Aviation Authority for instance, the CAD test is not even mentioned. They are more on the FAA side of this and there's a quite good list that you can refer to from their regulations ( google it !!).
Unfortunately, there are no clinics in Brasil that would be recognised either by the GCAA, JAA or QCAA.
Brazilian regulations regarding colour vision are exactly the same published on ICAO annex 1. What has happened to you is that your local AME used the allowed alternate test wich may not be recognised in other countries.
My advice for you is:
1 - AVOID Dra V. at any cost! If you do not know it, she is YOUR Airline physician and also the local FAA AME. Unfortunately, like everybody else in this ****y airline, she hate pilots and will do everything to take your medical away based on personal perception and not on regulations.
2 - If you reallly want to apply for EK or any other airline in Dubai, take some days off, go to London and take the CAD test, other Azul pilots have done this before. This is the ONLY way for you to get the colour vision waiver you need to pass the GCAA physical.
3- If your target airline is Qatar, than forget about the CAD test because it is not recognised there. You will have to pass the lantern tests or some similar procedures.
4- For China and Japan, things are different and it is more likely that you will not be accepted even with the alternate tests.
Now, from a personal point of view, I know how bad it is to fly for your airline. Believe me, I've been there. However, if you apply for EK or QR with your current experience, even if you get in, you will probably struggle in training and also, will make your captains have a hard time on the line. Don't get me wrong, I once had the same amount of time and ratings you have now and I would perform the same way.
My suggestion: Stay hard, stay hungry and hold tight. Azul is upgrading a lot of first officers from the AT 72 to the A 320 every month.
If you have more than a year of hiring, you will very soon be able to get a slot on the bus. GO FOR IT! Fly the little bus, get as much flight time on it as you can, and while doing this, make all efforts to improve your english. Do not let g109 words let you down, assholes like this are everywhere but you really need to improve your english skills, not only to pass a screening process but to be really usefull on a foreign cockpit.
Get a ZED ticket on your vacations, go to London City University and pass the CAD test while building your good hours. London is beautiful, enjoy the pubs!
Use the bastards in Azul to get your Airbus type rating and time, and once you're ready, get the hell out! But do it only when you're really ready! Study hard, hit the books!
