Ohhh dear what a mess, this is...

Total PR disaster for the airline, as it was this time last year!

The poor staff, being left hanging by a thread for the infinite time. Passengers who've worked hard all year for a holiday, wanting to know where they stand.

The big cheese at Monarch has so much to answer for, how were they allowed to let this happen last year and now again this year! At the end of the day the buck has to stop with the CEO.

He has failed to direct the airline and seems to change direction on what way they go more times than the wind. Also all these cash injections from investors, Im sure they want to know where their money has gone and why there are no returns!

They tried to bathe in this era, trying to convince passengers they offered good old fashioned customer service, when they were no different to other LCC.

I never understood these oddball flights this year to the likes of Stockholm and Zagreb, not exactly the biggest tourist destinations and not frequent enough for business travellers. The announcement of going long haul a few weeks ago was ridiculous, and is the next bloodbath waiting to happen.

They probably arrogantly thought they could complete a deal with a rival airline to merge or take over the short haul ops over the last two weeks, and the ATOL issue would have gone away. It clearly seems to be no airline wants to touch them in their current form, I suspect the Boeing order is a poison chalis and hence why we have heard nothing from the likes of easyJet, Norwegian, Wizz and Jet2 in taking them over, as they already have large orders for new aircraft and don't need more... These airlines are probably circling like vultures and waiting for the airline to drop down and will cherry pick the bits they want.

Even if the airline survives, certain individuals should be put up in-front of the Parliamentary Select Committee like the BHS staff, to explain how the airline is in this positiion again, where is all the money going, and made to reflect how this effects individuals like staff and passengers, which the airline seems to have no regard for.
