Reading between the lines but trying not to be to downbeat it may be safe to think the CAA may expect & coupled with the reasoning above that even if they wished too the airline would be unable to fly normal services...so a straight sub of the flight regardless of who`s covered by what is more straightforward & work out costings later..Approx 20,000 citizens stranded overseas is a big deal as I state again..The CAA of course have the authority to withdraw AOC`s too if there is any financial doubt about a UK airline..
