I wonder where this story has been cobbled together from? I'd guess from the stuff put on this thread and probably threads on other sites that I don't frequent like Airliners.net.
Having been peripherally involved in something similar (non-aviation related), when there is talk of ministers, Cobra etc it is coming from Westminster/Whitehall sources, not externally (i.e. the press political guys, not news guys)
