I'm not privy to anything that isn't already available to know. You basically answer your own questions in a few of your comments. The 737 Max-8 isn't the A321 so i wouldn't use that as comparison either.
Again, it will be perfectly fine for the operations in and out of GIB. I know the current Monarch management team come up with some bonkers ideas and plans, but for this one, they knew what they were doing...
