A passenger plane overshot on landing at Mumbai airport due to wet surface following rains.
All 183 passengers on the Varanasi-Mumbai Flight SG-703 have been safely deplaned and taken to the arrival hall.
The SpiceJet flight got stuck in mud at the airport. Following the incident chutes were deployed for passengers to be evacuated.
The incident took place on the Runway 27, which has now been shut for flight operations.

Prime News, National, Kozhikode (Kerala), August 4:- Sixty-eight passengers on board a Spicejet aircraft from Chennai had a miraculous escape when it skidded and veered off the runway while landing at the Calicut International Airport at nearby Karipur today, airport officials said.
Airport officials said that a few guiding lights on the runway were damaged as the aircraft swerved slightly to the left side of the runway after landing at 8.30 am, they said. No passenger was injured and all of them disembarked safely, they said.
The airline sources said two of their flights from here to Chennai and Bengaluru were cancelled following the incident.
