During my ATPL(A)-theory course 2-3 years back I shared table with a student having at least one of his closest family members working as a pilot with Icelandair. He stated that at least to what he knew then, speaking fluent Icelandic was a requirement for being considered as a flight crew.
Seeing applicant from countries that certainly don't spring to my mind as typically teaching Icelandic language on a larger scale in this tread, I wonder if someone could confirm that what I heard from my fellow student isn't any requirement now?
