My favourite statement in the Weekend Australian article is from the TAFE SA executive director of engineering, "This is quite embarrassing, the training itself was where it needed to be but we couldn't demonstrate it."
Wow, that is a bit more than embarrassing when you consider most apprentices from the NT were being moved out from TAFE SA as the SRTO to a competitor over the last 3 or 4 years. This was because the industry wasn't happy with the product that TAFE SA was delivering.
The industry knew!
You would think that TAFE SA might have noticed that and done something about it before CASA did their audit!
