I seem to remember somebody relaying a second-hand anecdote to me about some bloke who got a 3 cylinder diesel engine for a single. He said the middle cylinder kept overheating, and his engine had failed on him
literally more times than not. I can't remember the manufacturer, but I think it must have been French.
