I would even leave the 2nd child behind, but due to sensitivity I haven't mentioned that part yet. The flight isn't until September so just trying to do some advance planning etc.
I'm only 5ft 10 and haven't had any taller than me in the aircraft yet so don't know how 'cosy' it can get.

Surely you can do more than one, shorter flight and fly all the kids as well, unless you can't safely set the smallest one.
