Having been out of the military for 6 years, I am a little dubious about most aspects of 'transition support' whether commercial or military.
Regardless of qualifications or experience, junior ranks are often punted to the construction or driving jobs, SNCO's towards facilities management or lock repairs, and anything else with management in the title is normally routed at the officers.
You might have different experiences, and that's great; but that's my experience of the system.
