I went last April and from personal experience I thought it more useful for those who have the money ready and are actively looking for a school, and therefore having the chance to compare them. If you're looking to learn about flight training in general, then I don't think it's as beneficial and you can learn a lot of that on this forum. Though that's not to say you can't get good advice from the show but bear in mind that it may well be biased. However, one or two of the seminars that are held throughout the day were quite interesting.
It is useful, however, in that it makes you feel more pro-active!
