It was rumoured that the 2010 strike over a 2 week period cost BA between £90-£100 millions. The current strike by no means as far reaching and costly has entered its second year and must have occurred over at least 8 weeks (someone no doubt will correct me). The hire in costs of Qatar, cancellations and the extra use of legacy / MF crew that are working can only have an eventual negative knock on effect. The costs by now must exceed that of 2010, I wonder how Alex Cruz the anonymous BA CE0 not WW is going to rescue these losses when normal service is resumed? I think it may well cost AC his job!
