Such are the extraordinary people that are simply ordinary people until a life changing event (personally physical or political) threatens to shatter their previous existence. It happened far more frequently to far more people in WWII than these days thankfully, though there are remarkable exceptions of course and visible every day on our TV News. Andrée Eugénie Adrienne de Jongh was such a person, and should be remembered and celebrated by all those who care for our freedom.
