With regards to EDTO (ETOPS) on the B737-8, you could have made as many flights both training or commercial, it would make no difference.
The airline has to be approved to operate the B737-8 under EDTO conditions which they are not, they only have the approval for the B737-800.
However the airline approval is currently irrelevant as the B737-8 aircraft does not hold EDTO approval under its type certificate.
