I'm glad to see that they're addressing this serious issue but I feel that Manchester and other Airports need to take responsibility to cull this behaviour and should not serve alcohol especially at such early hours of the morning.
This would help a great deal but wouldn't stop those who will buy booze from the outlet shops then drink before boarding; the solution would be to pass duty sales directly to the airline.
People want cheap fares, airlines provide them by cutting payments to airports, airports have to make the money back somehow, so encourage bar and duty free sales.
People don't like drunk pax, airlines introduce steps which will reduce bar and duty free sales so what do the airports do now?
