I am personally sick to death of the drunken, loutish and anti-social behaviour I see in T3 and on my regular early morning flights.

Just had the following email from Ryanair for my flight on Sunday;

In order to prioritize the comfort and safety of all passengers, Ryanair will implement the following restrictions on your upcoming flight to Spain:

• Customers will not be allowed to carry alcohol on board and all cabin baggage will be searched at the boarding gates.

• Any alcohol purchased in airport shops or elsewhere must be packed carefully in a suitable item of cabin baggage, which will be tagged at the gate and then placed in the aircraft hold free of charge.

• If the bag is unsuitable for placing in the hold (e.g. plastic bag) then customers will be required to dispose of the alcohol in the bins provided.

• Boarding gates will be carefully monitored and customers showing any signs of anti-social behaviour or attempting to conceal alcohol will be denied travel without refund or compensation.

Thank you in advance for your co-operation with these procedures which we hope will allow you to enjoy your flight with us.

Yours sincerely,

Ryanair Customer Services

I'm glad to see that they're addressing this serious issue but I feel that Manchester and other Airports need to take responsibility to cull this behaviour and should not serve alcohol especially at such early hours of the morning.
This would help a great deal but wouldn't stop those who will buy booze from the outlet shops then drink before boarding; the solution would be to pass duty sales directly to the airline. I'm not an expert on aviation law and something may already be in place but I would like to see legislation put in to prosecute any form of anti-social behaviour or drunkenness within an Airport or on-board Aircraft that would make commuting by air a pleasure again
