PA38 it'll be the best value for money you'll get in aviation. Why people with computers still enter waypoints into their GPS's using Lat & Long I have no idea.

From my experience there are a few caveats however:

1: Don't trust the controlled airspace boundaries, they can be very approximate

2. Some locations are a bit off. The airfield I fly from is 0.5nm away when I'm sitting at the threshold (Mmm, maybe I'll try taxiing to the other end and check it there?

3. I always draw the route on a chart and compare the headings and distances with the computer generated plog. If I'm using user defined waypoints there is sometimes a difference of a couple of degrees.

The above notwithstanding, it's the best money I've spent on my flying

It's also great fun for fantasy flight planning as well!
