HI Everyone......leaving very soon just got a few issues with the bank accounts......getting all different and confusing information.
I bank with HSBC.
I have heard that you can leave your bank account open after you leave? Is that correct?
Do you still have access to your account and able to make transfers?
I am getting the check for everything on my last day......thought of taking it to an exchange place......but they said to transfer money with them.....you must have VALID UAE ID CARD and VALID VISA and PASSPORT. I tried explaining to them that it would be cancelled already.....they said then NO TRANSFER.
Ideas?
I guess if you keep the HSBC bank account open you can always transfer the money in $50,000 increments, as that is their daily limit....right?
Looking for ideas and experiences.
