I can see why ownership of Flybe would be attractive for Stobart as it would elevate them to a significant regional player but I just don't see that much additional benefit for SEN other than eliminating the franchise fee element. Other than bringing NQY back from STN and having the freedom to fly to the likes of EDI in parallel with LCY if they chose to what else would they do that they couldn't do already under the franchise? Moving the LCY operation over wouldn't work, and other major BE destinations such as AMS, DUB, GLA and CDG are already lined up or are operated by EZY.
