I've certainly no issue with security in what they and the police felt was a suspicious object in hold luggage.
However, there are legitimate questions as how to how an airport responds in the immediate aftermath of the alert and then with the disruption that inevitably follows. And not just the airport itself, but their handling agents, the airlines and Border Control.
I'd be surprised if the article in the M.E.N. is a totally accurate reflection of the situation yesterday but I expect and hope MAN will be holding their own investigation as to what went right and what could perhaps have been dealt with better in difficult circumstances.
