It is now blatantly obvious that the decision to ban laptops and other devices from selected countries was never a security issue but rather a commercial ploy.
What I'm miffed about, is the idea of bundling devices with lithium batteries in boxes into the cargo hold and flying over the North Atlantic or Polar was not in the name of security and at the expense of safety.
