Sorry but you've just described pretty much every airport in the UK there. I'm not sure why EDI is constantly singled out for this criticism, especially now that it is investing in decent terminal expansion, has got its act together on security and is having huge success in bringing in new routes (which is what airports are meant to do, and frankly the dismissive "pile 'em high" rhetoric is starting to look like envious twaddle).

It also appears that EDI management got on top of the power outage very quickly, in sharp contrast to the BA debacle at LHR a little while ago. Also, Norwegian is one of Europe's largest and most successful airlines. Comparisons with Globespan are frankly ridiculous.
