I've flown through there twice in the last four weeks and on both occasions, security has been awful. On the first occasion, queues to get into the magic tensabarrier maze stretched back to the top of the escalators from check-in. On the second, queues were slightly shorter but took longer to get through and everyone had to navigate their way around a slick of iced mocca-frappa-crappa-chino from Starbucks on the floor in tensa-barrier-land which none of the airport staff (to whom this was clearly vislble) appeared remotely bothered about. The place is a total disgrace.
The whole airport reeks of efforts to cram as much into as little infrastucture as possible to maximise ROI at the expense of customer experience and achieve a sale.
