There's 3 choices. Leave it in the fund. Take a cheque or send it to a bank of your choice.
Be careful of making your last day within 3 days of the weekend or a holiday. Payroll may not have done the needfull. Needfull = final statement. Then Hr can't or are unwilling to process your passport visa.
The police go home at 3pm so dont expect to get your clearance letter after that.
Likewise your final cheque will not be available after 3.30pm.
NBD shuts at 3pm so no cash there either.

They don't require you to close the current account until 90 days after leaving. Gives you time for DEWA etc.
Du were a pain in the ass trying to close the account and pay. Nobody seemed to know the right thing to do.
When it comes to getting your passport back make sure everything had been returned prior to that moment or no passport return. Tablet phone sim card credit card platinum card uniform etc. Hr takes id card at the end so you have building access.
Other than that pretty much as described in the leaving notes. They must be bored with exit interviews..asked for one but never saw it.
