Skype updates....
.....why are they always such a PITA? On Sat I went to talk to family and was told I'd just a lovely update but I'd need to sign in again.
Go "I've forgotten my password" _ we'll send you a code to insert then go through the change password routine. A code No. arrives in email - pop it in the appropriate box. "That code no. is wrong." WTF??
Pause -2 -3 start again. New code arrives and this time it all works and I'm back into Skype with a new password.
This AM SWMBO gets a call from brother saying he thinks our Skype account may have been got at. He got a looooong link saying click on it. Having spent all his working life in IT and IT security he had the tools to isolate and inspect it in detail.
Check with daughter she had the same. Son had a slightly different one but all three messages which came up in the message box in skype had the same time stamp - 0405. What the scam is isn't clear.
Similar things seem to happen every time skype updates. Why can't they get it right??
