The TP provides a great opportunity to get the transfer product right. Aside from anything else, getting all the mainline airlines under one roof will make a huge difference. The current three terminal system is inefficient.
Baggage system, security, people flows, USPC - all things that would make a huge difference to transfer - and transit - traffic through MAN.
Just need the airlines to make use of this...
Agreed. This is a great opportunity. Retaining alliance carriers really helps and I hope AA survive the TCX onslaught for this very reason.
I remember many years back connecting I think AA long haul to BA domestic. I transferred air side and the guy at security welcomed me unannounced by name as I approached.
He explained that he knew my name because he had started his shift early that morning specifically because I was transferring.
Lovely service, great guy, classic Manchester, but much better if they don't actually know my name!
