Aircraft Shortage
Aurigny seem to be currently plagued by technical problems, as follows:-
Do.228s: G-LGIS has not flown since yesterday morning, believed to be tech in GCI.
G-SAYE has not flown since the 4th April. This was the aircraft that was out of action between 8th September and 22nd November 2016. Can anyone explain why current maintenance is taking so long? I understand it was expected to be back i/s in late May!
Today's Dinard flight has been cancelled because only G-OAUR is operational. If that one develops a fault.....
We're waiting for G-OMAF to arrive - but when?
ATRs:- Monday's GR696 reached EMA with G-LERE u/s. (Two weeks ago - on the 5th - the same thing happened to G-COBO.) A replacement ATR (COBO) was sent to operate the GR697. Now we discover that ATR42 G-HUET is at LGW after GR602, with GR603 being cancelled. Today's LBA service (GR664/5) is cancelled with pax being offered seats on the EMA service.
Did I hear something about a strategic review recently???
