North Sea - operators and safety

Pilots and crew across the North Sea are clearly getting hit pretty hard, with pay squeezes adding to already stressful work. Several instances are mentioned where only the skill of the pilots have prevented a disaster - incidentally both on Sikorsky S92s.

Is anyone on here working there currently? Are cutbacks by operators like CHC making the job harder, and are they having a direct impact on safety? Seems to me that the operators are reacting poorly to an industry on the ropes (low oil price meaning belt-tightening being passed on etc). Am sure there have been more hairy moments with the S92 too...

Pilots/crew as usual bearing the brunt of the cut-backs and nearly all of the risk - no change there then...
