I own a 1973 Cessna 172M with a Auto Gas STC.
I can fly it on seven US gallons an hour at $2.45 a gallon.
I am also a airframe and powerplant mechanic so I can maintain it myself, and am a flight instructor in aircraft, instrument and multi engine.
My children have unlimited access to it.
It doesn't get any cheaper than that.
