I did a BOM trip a few nights ago. Total empty seats on both flights, combined? 3.
LAX trip a week and a half ago. Total empty seats on both flights combined? 7.
MEL round trip? No empty seats.
The passenger demand is there. Just need more technicians to keep the aircraft and passengers flying.
I have seen some utter rubbish posted on this page, but you matey boy, are taking the biscuit.
FYI, Engineering have plenty of Engineers, Technicians, Mechanics and hangar space. Witness the SQ 380 in the run pen this afternoon, as it has just finished a C Check. 6 hangars, all full of C yet more C Checks, plus 4 more full of A Checks and casualty. Oh, and don't forget the paint hangar, which is balls out all year round.
Next time you depart DXB, who prepares your a/c? The magic pixies? You might not see too much of Engineering, but that's because they are more than a little busy.
