If you have an EASA license and a Working permit / residence visa it should be possible. You can also get your EASA license in the states (and possibly Canada). Too be sure I would try to get a school where you can do both EASA and FAA/CAA license at the same time.
Other option is joining UPS / FedEx (easier said than done) as they have pilots based in Europe flying European routes... #openskies
