When I filled in the online application (you know, the work history and flying hours document) on the last page I was asked which base I would prefer.
I had to rank them in order (there were three drop-down menus). I was given VIE, SZG and PMI.
I filled them in rather randomly and wrote to interpersonal that i would be happy living in any of those places. Not sure if they pass such information on to EW.
I guess the question of base will come up right at the end at the HR interview. Still a long road until then
Regarding pass-rate: No one knows for sure, but it seems about 90% - 95% fail the initial DLR test. The sim weeds out another 60% - 70%. I am not sure about the interview.
Chances are slim, but it is a chance and I will embrace it
