I only spent three month as an instructor in the early 1980s.
Then I got a job on a Lear Jet.
And you Sir, were a lucky
.....
I would still advocate the F-1 route as you'll head bag to Europa-land with at least some flight time under your belt.
And there is no substitute for experience.
