I have a question.

I am a UK citizen, born and raised.
Family heritage back to at least early 1700s.

Left the UK 35 years ago for USA.
Became US citizen 30 years ago.

Still hold both passports.

My question.
Once I retire, I plan on buying either a motor home or a caravan and seeing the British Isles.
Then I plan on seeing Europe.
Slow travel, looking at everything.
I can enter the UK as either an American or a Brit.
How long can I stay in the UK without them looking at me.
I will have 'no fixed abode'
I will not own property other than a vehicle.
I may have to get a UK driving license to be able to get insurance.
I will only engage in tourist activities.
I will not vote or claim benefits.
I have no other family connections other than dual national children who may study or work in the UK.
I will be paying US taxes as I am a citizen.
But under no circumstances will I ever be prepared to pay UK taxes.

So how long can I stay?
Parking the vehicle and leaving for a while is easy to do.
But how long do I have to be gone for.

Any idea?
Thanks.
