I have not heard that BA staff travel will be subject to a complete loss of premium cabin seating ....... and that seems to be the comparison that you are making?

In BA, certain staff travel tickets have a cabin eligibility code which implies a premium seat but that depends on:
1. Whether there are premium seats on the aircraft being used for the flight, and
2. Whether commercial passengers are already occupying any of those premium seats.

If there are no available premium seats, then a BA staff traveller can expect to be down the back in economy, or perhaps even on a jump seat. But no regular BA staff traveller can ever assume they will have a premium seat, even if their cabin eligibility code for the ticket implies it.

Is it the case now that Aer Lingus staff always get a premium seat when using staff travel? Your opening post is not at all clear!

"European Speaking", a language I am not familiar with ..... but where the EU is concerned, perhaps it is part of the longer term European Project?
