I think one of the reasons is that there is no alcohol on Kuwait airways (or there was not last time I flew with them), and they are not really a player in the movement of people from Europe / US to Far East as this lack of alcohol appears to have a disproportionate effect on the number of people who wish to fly with them. Brunei also have a similar policy and apparently also suffer lighter loads, partly as a result I am informed by a colleague, who uses them a bit. As regards Oman Air I will be trying them down to Muscat soon, as we have been involved in the new terminal. We used to go through DXB so it will be good to go direct as connections were not always the easiest or convenient.
