God almighty the old "our SATCOM isn't working" again.
I have seen this a few times. The CC are trying to avoid being in the spotlight and want to delegate the conversation with Medlink upwards to the Flight Deck.
Remember theirs is a culture whereby if you never make a decision you can never be wrong.
