It is excellent news for CWL and indeed for the West Country as well in terms of the opportunities it will provide for travellers. Not such good news for Bristol Airport though.
As someone who travels to Australia each year from London (and occasionally from Birmingham) via the Middle East I shall be looking with great interest at what is on offer.
The CWL senior management backed by its owners have done a brilliant piece of business with this.
MV as ever, i must agree with your sentiments. BRS will not be happy about this. But when you look at the factors for and against of each airport, CWL wins i'm afraid and so it shows. This route will have a pretty large sphere of influence so CWL may well be seeing some travellers from South-West of the UK and even further afield if the prices are right.
