There's no hypocrisy involved here - on the average flight Jet2.com operate a 2 drinks per person policy, and that is invariably 330ml cans of beer, 175ml bottles of wine, etc. They have drunk way, way more than that before they get near the aircraft.

This is true, but it will be down to the drinking before and at the airport, not on the aircraft. We just deal with the mess created by others.
At least get your facts right before spouting off.
