BA aren't magicians and can't predict that a bag tagged for LHR under one booking needs to get to ABZ on another separate booking. Really ignorant response. Try booking connecting flights together using airmiles through the Executive Club - a year ago you could do it but now it will only allow you to book the sectors separately and hence the issue raised earlier whereby you don't seem to able to check your bags right through. If there's stupidity involved here then it also sits with the BA staff who have told me that's now the situation.
