I learnt to fly in a week or so and the prop never even started. I was in a Jet Provost, just 7 hours to solo if I recall. Now that was not because I was good; far from it. I think the instructors at the FTS I was on had a bet who would send their student solo first. My man was determined that I would go first, even if I was not safe
