I was last there July 2015. So not that long ago. I understand and accept that people are people, and occasionally you just get received badly just because they're having a bad day. To have had this from ATC and ground crew however, is somewhat rare. (I didn't do anything wrong - just FYI). My experience is in no way representative of every day at Shoreham - but - it did ruin my day, and took over £30 out of my pocket for landing a C172.

I mean - sure, if you have to go to Brighton/Hove/Worthing, then it is definitely still the best airfield. But if not, you have lee-on-solent, Swanborough Farm, Goodwood all within reasonable distance. I think the most expensive is Goodwood, still £10 less per landing (but you might get to nose at some stunning planes parked there).
