Oh the power of Pprune - a few adverse comments and Jersey completely alters it's topography. We can even move mountains!!!!!
Regarding Stobarts rolling up the runway and taking it away, this is exactly what they have done with the old North and South aprons and taxiways. I stopped in the airport a few days ago and it looked like a huge construction site, great piles of rubble (Jersey's mountains perhaps), giant earthmovers, JCB's and tipper trucks all over the place and no end of workers beavering away. It looks as if a serious amount of cash has been thrown at the upgrading of the aprons and taxiways.
Let's hope it does lead to an increase in activity, or if not we can certainly handle a few more LCY diversions with the extra stands available.
