Pax vs Freight on the A380
We've often heard reference to the A380's relative lack of cargo capacity and how that affects the economics of routes where the A380 replaces the B777-300ER, e.g. MAN-DXB. This morning's EK022 left with 510 pax (just 7 empty seats) and over 18000kgs of freight. Now, a B77W could no doubt have carried more under the floor, but that doesn't sound a bad freight load on a nearly full A380. Is it really such an issue?
